Results
In addition to creating a Customer Request website
for the DSi group, the designers also created a web-based
intranet application to assist research scientists in
the solids division. The goal was a more effective and
efficient process for testing the mechanical properties
of solid formulations. The Internet application allows
scientists to access data on all solid formulations
that have been tested historically. This knowledge allows
them to improve the formulation process, and ultimately
the quality of tablets produced by Pfizer's manufacturing
facilities. Finally, a third web site was created for
Comparative Physiology and Medicine department. This
Intranet site functions as a communication and branding
tool for the initiatives of CP&M and provides dynamic
content to the Users.
